Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) said that she does intend to stay in office until she’s sworn in as governor, if elected, and would make the appointment to fill her seat, rather than stepping down after the general election and allowing current Gov. Bill Lee (R) to make the appointment, the Nashville Banner reports.
