Democratic Divisions On Israel Come Thundering Back

November 3, 2026 · 5:28 am ET · Leave a Comment

“The midterm elections are ending, as they began, with Democrats fighting about Israel,” the New York Times reports.

“The debate returned to center stage late in the pivotal Senate race in Michigan, when Representative Haley Stevens, who lost the Democratic primary, pulled her endorsement from the winner, Dr. Abdul El-Sayed, citing his rhetoric on Israel, among other issues. She stunned and dismayed her fellow Democrats by endorsing the Republican nominee, Mike Rogers, a former congressman.”

“The surprising turn of events the weekend before the election suggested that the party’s divisions over Israel were sure to endure after the new Congress is seated and the party lurches into a wide-open 2028 presidential primary.”

Same Election. Different Stories.

Election Day brings a flood of political news — and which sources you follow can shape the story you see.

That's why I appreciate what Ground News does. It shows how the same story is covered across the political spectrum — and highlights important stories that one side may be ignoring entirely.

And when the votes are counted and everyone starts debating what they mean, it's a useful way to get a broader view.
