Democrats Flip a Dozen Statehouse Chambers

“Democrats made huge gains Tuesday in statehouse races across the U.S., flipping a dozen legislative chambers and gaining full control in six states. The party’s banner day, its best in more than four decades, carries immense practical impact,” the Wall Street Journal reports.

“With Congress often gridlocked and court rulings returning more authority to the states, legislatures play an increasing role in Americans’ daily lives, setting policy in areas such as education, healthcare, labor, abortion and gun laws, to name a few.”
