Former naval aviator Aaron Dimmick filed Friday to run for Florida’s 1st congressional district as a Republican.

“A veteran air force pilot is laying the groundwork to challenge the scandal-hit congressman Matt Gaetz in the Republican primary for Florida’s first congressional district,” The Guardian reports.
Lawmaker Knows How to Get Trump’s Attention
Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), “in practically no time, has rocketed from fresh face in the Republican conference to one of President Trump’s most high-profile, die-hard defenders in Congress,” BuzzFeed News reports.
