Two Republican state legislators in Oklahoma appeared to be joking about sexual misconduct allegations in remarks made near a hot mic, KWTV reports.

The conversation appeared to reference a reported investigation involving another Republican lawmaker and accusations he inappropriately touched a female representative.

Oklahoma May Soon Allow Carrying Guns Without Permit

“A bill vetoed last year by Oklahoma’s Republican former governor that would allow adult residents to carry a gun without any training or a background check has easily passed a vote in the state House on its way to the desk of the new governor, who is expected to sign it into law,” the AP reports.

Six More GOP Incumbents Lose Seats In Oklahoma

“Six more incumbent Republican state House members in Oklahoma lost their jobs Tuesday, and all six voted against a tax hike used to fund a teacher pay raise,”the AP reports.

”Of the 19 House Republicans who voted against the tax hike, eight have now been defeated. Seven others decided not to run. Only four have advanced to the general election.”

Pruitt May Rise Again in Oklahoma

“Scott Pruitt’s brief, tumultuous tenure as the head of the EPA has left him disgraced in the eyes of many in Washington and across the country. But it may not have done him much harm in his home state,” the New York Times reports.

“Though a comeback for Mr. Pruitt is far from assured, some liberals and conservatives in Oklahoma agree he could engineer one in this oil- and gas-dependent state where he used to be attorney general. His hard-line anti-regulatory message remains popular here, and many of his supporters consider the spreading plume of scandal from his time at the E.P.A. the product of unfair liberal persecution.”

Oklahoma Governor Signs ‘Anti-LGBT’ Adoption Law

Lawmakers Seek to Impeach Obama Over Bathrooms

“Oklahoma’s Republican-dominated legislature has filed a measure calling for President Obama’s impeachment over his administration’s recommendations on accommodating transgender students, saying he overstepped his constitutional authority,” Reuters reports.

“Lawmakers in the socially conservative state are also expected to take up a measure as early as Friday that would allow students to claim a religious right to have separate but equal bathrooms and changing facilities to segregate them from transgender students.”

Governor’s Daughter Living in Trailer Near Mansion

Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin (R) revealed that “several of her adult children are living at the Governor’s mansion,” KFOR-TV reports.

“In the case of the governor’s 28-year-old daughter, she’s actually driven a travel trailer onto the property for a place to stay.”

Goddard spent more than a decade as managing director and chief operating officer of a prominent investment firm in New York City. Previously, he was a policy adviser to a U.S. Senator and Governor.
