Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) faces a tenuous position with Democrats in his state, with not a single House Democrat in the Pennsylvania delegation willing to say Fetterman should run for reelection, Punchbowl News reports.

“It’s the latest sign of Pennsylvania Democrats’ keen interest in ousting Fetterman, who’s increasingly isolated in his party, even within his state delegation. House members from the same state are generally loath to criticize their colleagues, especially in a battleground like Pennsylvania, but frustrations with Fetterman are boiling over a full two years before a possible Senate primary.”

Sen. Bob Casey, a three-term Pennsylvania Democrat, on Thursday conceded to his Republican rival, David McCormick, amid a recount in their marquee Senate contest, the New York Times reports.

“A group with ties to Democrats is trying to peel crucial votes away from Republican Dave McCormick by boosting a third-party candidate in the Pennsylvania Senate race,” Politico reports.

“In the years that Pennsylvania Senate candidate Dave McCormick (R) led one of the world’s largest hedge funds, the firm bet millions of dollars against some of the state’s biggest and most iconic companies,” CNN reports.

“Under McCormick’s leadership, Bridgewater Associates shorted the stocks of nearly 50 companies headquartered in Pennsylvania, including The Hershey Company and US Steel.”

“Sen. Bob Casey is bracing for a GOP onslaught,” CNN reports.

“After a summer where he and his GOP opponent, David McCormick, have engaged in a brutal exchange of attacks in the marquee US Senate race in Pennsylvania, leaving the race in a dead heat, Republicans are preparing to drop more than $100 million across the airwaves in the final two months of the campaign.”

“The main super PAC supporting David McCormick, the Republican running for Senate in Pennsylvania, is reserving $30 million worth of television ads in the state, a major escalation in the campaign to unseat Senator Bob Casey, the Democratic incumbent,” the New York Times reports.

“The new reservation from the super PAC, known as Keystone Renewal, comes on top of the $82 million that both sides have already spent on, or reserved in, campaign ads in the state, according to AdImpact, which tracks advertising purchases.”

“So far, the group has spent about $3.6 million on mostly positive ads about Mr. McCormick. But the super PAC plans to pivot to more negative spots aimed at Mr. Casey once the new ad buy begins.”
