Jonathan Last wants Lara Trump to run for U.S. Senate in North Carolina because it would answer some burning questions:

  • Will any Republican even be allowed to challenge a Trump family member running for office? My guess is no. If a Trump family member declares even the intention to run, no R in good standing will be allowed to remain in the field.
  • How much of the Trump political brand extends downstream to family members in polling?
  • What sort of platform would a Trump family member run on? Would they run merely as a stalking horse for Donald J. Trump’s return? Or would they run on some version of their own MAGA policies?
  • How much money could a Trump family member raise from MAGA nation in a statewide race?

Lara Trump Says Average American Doesn’t Know Kurds

Senior 2020 campaign adviser Lara Trump told Fox News that average Americans had to “Google” who the Kurds of northern Syria even are before they could be outraged about President Trump’s decision to withdraw troops from the region.

Said Trump: “I think we should start with the fact that if you ask the average American out there, I think they would have to Google ‘Who are the Kurds, and why is America even over there fighting this war?'”

Lara Trump Says It’s ‘Sad’ Democrats Want to Win

Lara Trump told Fox News that it was “a little bit sad” that Democrats are so intent on defeating President Trump.

Said Trump: “That’s a little bit sad isn’t it? Shouldn’t you want someone that you think can run the country well, that’s gonna do the best job at being president, not just beat Donald Trump? But I think it actually speaks to the fact that there are still a lot of people who out there that are very upset that Hillary Clinton did not win in 2016.”

Lara Trump Hired by Trump’s Digital Firm

“The digital vendor for President Donald Trump’s political campaign has hired a new senior consultant: the president’s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump,” the AP reports.

“Eric Trump’s wife, will serve as a liaison for San Antonio, Texas-based Giles-Parscale to Trump’s ongoing campaign, based at Trump Tower in Manhattan.”
