Bush Predicts He’ll Win New Hampshire

“Jeb Bush, facing headwinds in his Republican presidential bid, said Sunday the race is still in the early stages and predicted he would win the crucial New Hampshire primary next year,” the Wall Street Journal reports.

A new Boston Globe/Suffolk University poll in New Hampshire finds Hillary Clinton edging Bernie Sanders in the Democratic presidential race, 37% to 35%, with Joe Biden at 11%.

Key finding: “The poll suggests that Democrats who had soured on Clinton are now giving her a second look in New Hampshire, the site of the first-in-the-nation primary that revived her campaign in 2008 and her husband’s prospects in 1992.”

A new Bloomberg/St. Anslem College poll finds Sanders leading Clinton, 41% to 36%, with Biden at 10%.

Biden Has 51 Days to File for New Hampshire

Vice President Joe Biden “has 51 days to decide on a presidential bid — that is, if he wants to appear on the New Hampshire primary ballot,” the Los Angeles Times reports.

“The filing period for candidates who wish to contest the nation’s first presidential primary will begin Nov. 4 and remain open until 5 p.m. on Nov. 20… Qualifying for the ballot is intentionally easy, as state tradition demands — a candidate or a representative simply needs to submit a completed declaration of candidacy form and provide the filing fee of $1,000, in cash or certified check. Any candidate who hasn’t filed by Nov. 20 must appear in person to do so, however.”
