Trump Blasts ‘Wacky Omarosa’

August 13, 2018 at 9:52 am EDT By Taegan Goddard Leave a Comment

President Trump responded to former aide Omarosa Manigault Newman on Twitter after she played a secret tape of their phone conversation:

Wacky Omarosa, who got fired 3 times on the Apprentice, now got fired for the last time. She never made it, never will. She begged me for a job, tears in her eyes, I said OK. People in the White House hated her. She was vicious, but not smart. I would rarely see her but heard really bad things. Nasty to people & would constantly miss meetings & work. When Gen. Kelly came on board he told me she was a loser & nothing but problems. I told him to try working it out, if possible, because she only said GREAT things about me – until she got fired!

Omarosa Releases Tape of Trump Phone Call

August 13, 2018 at 7:48 am EDT By Taegan Goddard Leave a Comment

NBC News has obtained audio from Omarosa Manigault Newman, which she says is a recording of a phone call between her and President Trump one day after Chief of Staff John Kelly fired her from her senior White House position. The tape appears to show Trump having no idea that Newman had been dismissed by his Chief of Staff John Kelly.

TRUMP: “Omarosa, what’s going on? I just saw on the news that you’re thinking about leaving? What happened?

OMAROSA: General Kelly – General Kelly came to me and said that you guys wanted me to leave.

TRUMP: No… I, I – Nobody even told me about it.

OMAROSA: Wow.

TRUMP: You know they run a big operation, but I didn’t know it. I didn’t know that. Goddamn it. I don’t love you leaving at all.”

Omarosa Releases Audio of John Kelly ‘Threatening’ Her

August 12, 2018 at 10:32 am EDT By Taegan Goddard Leave a Comment

Omarosa Manigault Newman released a recording on NBC News in which she says White House chief of staff John Kelly can be heard allegedly threatening her when she was fired.

In the clip, a voice said to be that of Kelly can be heard urging Newman to agree to a “friendly departure” from the White House so that she can “go on without any type of difficulty in the future relative to your reputation.”

Playbook: “This is allegedly from the situation room in the White House. Again, let that sink in. An adviser to the president brought a recording device into the situation room to record the chief of staff.”

Omarosa Says She’s Afraid of Being Murdered

August 10, 2018 at 5:32 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard Leave a Comment

Omarosa Manigault Newman “has lately been telling people that she’s the one who should be afraid” now that her tell-all book is out and that she has given copies of her Trump tapes to family members for safekeeping in the event that she is murdered,” Politico reports.

“She has also that she is taking meetings in disguise – dressed in a baseball hat, sunglasses and baggy clothes – out of a growing paranoia that the president will come after her.”

Also interesting: “She is also teasing her book as an appetizer, telling friends and acquaintances she has held onto explosive material that she intends to release later – such as the names of illegitimate children she claims Trump has fathered.”

Omarosa Has Already Contradicted Her Own Book

August 10, 2018 at 5:10 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard Leave a Comment

Omarosa Manigault Newman told NPR that she had heard what she calls the “N-word tape” — a long-rumored but never surfaced tape of Donald Trump on the set of the Apprentice allegedly using the racial slur.

But that’s not what it says in her tell-all book Unhinged, due out on Tuesday. She wrote that she had simply heard “from someone who’d been in the room” that a tape existed.

“This discrepancy in her account of hearing the tape may cast doubt on other claims in the book, many of which are explosive.”

Omarosa Secretly Recorded Trump

August 8, 2018 at 4:05 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard Leave a Comment

“Multiple sources with direct knowledge of the situation tell the Daily Beast that Omarosa Manigault-Newman, the infamous former Apprentice star who followed Trump to the White House, secretly recorded conversations with the president — conversations she has since leveraged while shopping her forthcoming ‘tell-all’ book, bluntly titled Unhinged.”

“For months, it has been rumored that Manigault had clandestinely recorded on her smartphone ‘tapes’ of unspecified private discussions she had in the West Wing. Audio actually does exist, and even stars Manigault’s former boss.”

“The mere existence of such recordings represent a dramatic betrayal of trust by a one-time Trump confidant who has since abandoned years of professed loyalty to the president and has apparently decided to profit off her years of closeness to Trump.”

Said Manigault-Newman: “While watching the interview I realized that something real and serious was going on in Donald’s brain. His mental decline could not be denied.”

She added: “Many didn’t notice it as keenly as I did because I knew him way back when. They thought Trump was being Trump, off the cuff. But I knew something wasn’t right.”

Why Omarosa Was Fired from the White House

February 13, 2018 at 8:22 am EST By Taegan Goddard Leave a Comment

Politico reports that White House chief of staff dismissed Omarosa Manigault “for using the White House car service — known as ‘CARPET’ — as an office pick-up and drop-off service, something strictly forbidden by the federal government.”

“After Kelly dismissed her, Manigault tried to storm the White House residence to appeal to Trump, according to one of the officials, accidentally tripping an electronic Secret Service wire that monitors entry and egress from the residence.”

Omarosa Says She Saw ‘Very Uncomfortable’ Things

December 14, 2017 at 10:53 am EST By Taegan Goddard Leave a Comment

Outgoing White House aide Omarosa Manigault told ABC News that she observed things in the White House during her tenure that made her uncomfortable and that upset her.

Said Manigault: “I’m not going to expand on it because I still have to go back and work with these individuals, but when I have a chance to tell my story, Michael, quite a story to tell as the only African-American woman in this White House as a senior staff and assistant to the president, I have seen things that made me uncomfortable, that have upset me, that have affected me deeply and emotionally, that has affected my community and my people. And when I can tell my story, it is a profound story that I know the world will want to hear.”

Omarosa Blocked from the Oval Office

September 2, 2017 at 7:59 am EDT By Taegan Goddard Leave a Comment

“The former Apprentice co-star—who currently serves as the communications director for the Office of Public Liaison—has seen her direct access to the president limited since Kelly took the top White House job in late July, sources tell the Daily Beast. In particular, Kelly has taken steps to prevent her and other senior staffers from getting unvetted news articles on the president’s Resolute desk—a key method for influencing the president’s thinking, and one that Manigualt used to rile up Trump about internal White House drama.”

“Multiple sources in and outside the Trump White House told The Daily Beast that, until recently, it was common practice for aides to slide into the Oval Office and distract and infuriate the president with pieces of negative news coverage. Manigault, they say, was one of the worst offenders.”
