The Education of Anthony Scaramucci

February 1, 2018 at 7:24 pm EST By Taegan Goddard Leave a Comment

Anthony Scaramucci gave a must-read interview to Vanity Fair in which he elaborated about his 10 days working in the Trump White House.

Said Scaramucci: “I want you to imagine the worst person that you’ve met on Wall Street, the most ruthless and the most diabolical. That’s the best person in Washington. That’s the Eagle Scout of Washington.”

On how White House chief of staff Reince Priebus — who he called “Rancid Penis” — promise to help him land a job: “He did say this because he’s a Washingtonian. That’s what they do to you, they say, ‘golly gee’ to your face and they act like Richie Cunningham to your face. They’re Richie Cunningham and they’re Opie from The Andy Griffith Show, but they’re the fucking Sith Lord behind your back. They’re hitting you with a lightsaber behind your back.”

On Steve Bannon: “I helped Bannon through the three months that he was on the campaign, and we had a good relationship. But Bannon turns on me, because Bannon is ultimately railing against the swamp, but he’s actually a cock of the swamp. He’s the creature from the Black Lagoon, Bannon. He acts more swamp-like than any person that’s ever become a Washingtonian. So for all of his railing on the swamp, he is literally the pig in George Orwell’s Animal Farm that stands on his two legs the minute he gets power.”

His final takeaway: “I learned that the swamp is probably a gold-plated cesspool with no drain. You understand what I’m saying? You can’t drain the fucking thing. It’s a gold-plated cesspool, and you got cesspool operators in there that know how to slow down disruptors like Donald Trump.”

The Book Scaramucci Wanted to Write

November 21, 2017 at 7:00 am EST By Taegan Goddard Leave a Comment

Business Insider: “In the months after getting ousted from the White House, Scaramucci sought a publisher to put out a book, which at one point was titled I Did It My Way, about his 10 days as Trump’s communications director. A proposal for the book that was circulated to several major publishers earlier this summer and shared with Business Insider promised a ‘tell-all’ to dish on his bizarre ouster from the White House as well as his ‘countless other interactions involving Sean Spicer, General McMaster, Sarah Huckabee and even the Vice President.’”

“But in a text message to Business Insider on Monday, Scaramucci … said he was no longer interested in publishing a book, saying he was not willing to write the kind of tell-all that would create buzz but damage his standing with the president and the White House.”

“The blink-and-you-missed-him former White House communications director is listed as deceased in the new Harvard Law School alumni directory, which arrived in alums’ mailboxes the very week that “The Mooch” became the most talked-about guy in politics. An asterisk by the 1989 graduate’s name indicates that he was reported dead since the last directory, which was published in 2011.”
